Hi everyone! My name is Barbara. I have been almost obssesed with my weight since my teens. Now at age 42, and after many, many different diets, I am at a healthy weight. I have lost 110 lbs. Not by startving myself, not by avoiding carbs, and sweets, but through Hypnosis. This blog will let others share their experiences with Hypnosis. It is not only good for weight loss, but as I have learned through many support groups and friends on the net, Hypnosis has helped thousands with other problems such as smoking, IBS, anxiety, ED, phobias ..etc. To read more about me, go to “My Story”.

Barbara, I read your story, and saw that hypnosis helps quit smoking. How long does it take for a person to stop completely. I have tried patches, pills, gum, and unfortunately, I am still smoking. Although, you personally didn’t go through hypnotherapy for smoking but for wieghtloss, is there any way you can send me some info, or if you know someone who does hypnotherapy in the NY area. I have tried everything, and there is nothing more my kids would rather see than me without a cigarette in my hand.

I was a smoker for 34 years. My wife could not take it anymore. I had trouble going up stairs, walking long distances, and I decided that I want to see my grandchildren leanr to ride bikes, and go to college. I found a wonderful Hypnotherapist in the ny area (im from Staten Island), through a friend who worked in the same building. If you like, feel free to email me and I can give you the details. To be honest I do not even remember what smoking feels like, nor do I even miss it.
